Sarah Coleman, LCSW
Hi, I’m Sarah, a licensed therapist. I believe therapy works best when it feels steady, honest, and collaborative. If you’re feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite untangle, overwhelmed by anxiety, or navigating a season of change, therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.
I draw from EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and expressive arts in my work with clients. Outside of individual therapy, I also facilitate intuition painting workshops. I tend to work less from advice-giving and more from curiosity. Together, we pay attention to what your nervous system is doing, what emotions may be getting pushed away, and what parts of you have been working hard to protect you. Often, those parts developed for good reasons. Our work is about helping them soften when they no longer need to work so hard.
For the past several years, I’ve worked as a facilitator in psychedelic clinical trials involving LSD, psilocybin, and methylone. In that role, I support participants through preparation, dosing sessions, and integration. I see psychedelic-assisted work as one way of helping people access deeper emotional material that may feel difficult to reach through conversation alone. When supported carefully, these experiences can open space for insight, emotional processing, and self-compassion. My role is to help create a safe and steady environment where meaningful healing can unfold.
I primarily work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, substance use, identity shifts and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I value creating a space that feels affirming, grounded, and emotionally honest. You do not have to perform or have everything figured out here.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me camping, drawing, or dancing in a forest somewhere. I love reading science fiction, playing records, and spending time with my orange cat, Bisky.
